Welcome to Headphone Treats!

Jimmy Ether started Headphone Treats in late 2002, launching the venture with The Ether Family Presents... How To Get Lost In A Time Consuming Ego Trip album series. Jimmy had formerly run another label called subReal Songs in years previous, but abandoned the primarily vanity-based brand for this new vision (or revision) of what a record label could be. Drawing knowledge from the great labels of the past and present (Stax/Volt, Motown, Philadelphia International, SST, Matador, Hidden Agenda, etc.), Jimmy hopes to create a unique, creative, productive and fun collective with a distinct sonic imprint.

Most Headphone Treats releases are currently produced out of The Ether Lounge, Jimmy's project studio based just south of Atlanta in Jonesboro, GA. Jimmy and his wife recently purchased land in Athens, GA and plan to relocate the studio, label and their home to the new location within the next couple of years.
